A day of resting, waiting and enjoying friends in the lonestar state.
We met with the mechanic, Greg Evans at KCXO. He diagnosed the problem as a failed regulator and alternator. The parts are ordered and should be installed in the morning. Hopefully, we will be on our way to Californina tomorrow.
Pat and Rich also introduced us to a bunch of pilots who meet in front of their hangars to do some hangar flying and story telling every evening at 5:00. They know to gather when an old-fashioned air raid siren blows.
We ended the day with a delicious bar-be-que dinner, Texas style.
